OUR MISSION

The Long Live GoGo Foundation is a member-led nonprofit rooted in Washington, DC, dedicated to sustaining and evolving the city's indigenous culture through the power of GoGo music—DC’s official sound and the pride of its people. We honor GoGo not just as a genre, but as a living, breathing community—a cultural brotherhood that mirrors the unity and spirit of a fraternity, made up of talented individuals who excel across professional fields.

Our mission is to amplify GoGo as both an art form and a tool for mobilizing community, civic engagement, and cultural pride. We protect this cultural gem by cultivating live experiences—where GoGo’s heartbeat is best felt—and by inserting it into innovative, unlikely spaces to broaden its impact. We aim to industrialize GoGo nationally and globally, expanding educational and occupational pathways for native Washingtonians, while representing the voices of the underserved.

GoGo is more than music—it is the cornerstone of DC’s identity, and through it, we build, uplift, and connect.

ACTIVISM

Rooted in grassroots action, we use GoGo as a cultural force for equity and justice in DC. Our activism amplifies local voices and drives community-led change.

EDUCATION

We use GoGo to educate, empower, and equip DC communities—especially those at risk of displacement—with cultural pride and tools for the future. Education is our pathway to progress.

ARTS & CULTURE

We preserve and elevate DC’s indigenous art forms—centering GoGo as a tool for resilience, belonging, and transformation. Arts and culture are not just valuable; they’re vital.
